Women in Strategy

Updated: Sep 15, 2021

The main objective of the conference is to help pre-tenure female faculty in Strategy to develop career strategies and skills valuable for achieving promotion and tenure.  The ratio of female faculty representation in the strategy field has increased over the years.  However, the rate of female junior professors getting tenure has remained small across strategy departments.  This workshop aims to address this problem by offering a different approach to supporting pre-tenure faculty by providing training for mentoring and coaching to both junior and senior faculty.  It also creates opportunities for pre-tenure female faculty to match and start working with senior mentors for continued professional development.

The first Women in Strategy Conference was held at the Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis, on May 9 - 11, 2019.

We are planning the next Conference to take place in the near future.
